intake manifold thremostat housing is cracked, can it be fixed?
I was changing out my thermostats as maintanence and when i pulled the starboard engines bolts, they had black silicone goop all over them. pulled them out, changed the thermostat and put it back together. i was tightning them, and one (with all the goop previously) stripped. i pulled it back apart and pulled the piece under the thermostat and found it cracked where the bolt goes in. i dont know if it was like that before or not, but is it fixable with a new thread insert or do i need to replace the whole intake?
This part is for GoodT
2000 36 baja outlaw, twin hp500's carb'd, and its the starboard engine.
And if i do need to replace it, does anyone have a 500hp intake?
so much for july 4th boating
