Revolution Marine - 240lb wieght savings!
was installing my two sets of Rev Marine aluminum smallblock manifolds today from the stock Merc......One Rev Marine manifold and riser wieghed 25lbs......times four equals 100lbs total........One stock Merc cast iron manifold and riser wieghed 85lbs!!......times four equals 340lbs total for a total wieght savings of 240lbs off the back of the boat......wow!.....way to go Revolution Marine!!

I would be really interested in your results as I've carefully looked at the RM design and it seems to me that it is no comparison to the high flow manifolds such as Stainless Marine, KE, Eddie, Gil or any of the true flowing manifolds.

RM is practially the only company out there that publishes a cutaway view of their smallblock manifold...... Stainless, Eddie and Gil and IMCO dont publish one as far as I could find(Ive tried) and KE doesnt make a smallblock manifold.......what do you base your "no comparison" theroy on?

I put the revs on my fresh 454 mag rebuild , ran into some glitches at install , but todd got me hooked up , so far so good , can't compare stock to the revs cause the new motor is pushing roughly 75 more ponies, they sound awesome, and are way lighter.For $1,200.00 cant beat em

Not to ruffle your feathers, Really. I compared the Stainless Marine units which do have a cut away and looked physically at others and the RM's looked like a stock set up compared to the others I mentioned. The others I mentioned had larger, longer runners and looked to me that they would flow much more air. The size manifolds I speak of are for a BB Chev/Merc. I have run the Stainless to 650 HP @ 6800 RPM and they did not run out of flow, I am now running them blown @ 800+ HP @ 5500 RPM and am happy. When I looked at RM's design and their HP claims, I was VERY skeptical although the price can't be beat. I stepped up to the bigger bucks because I was convinced the RM's couldn't keep up. Just my .02.
