Default More Rtech dyno results

Tested at JIMKID Motorsports on DTS dyno; Dave Tokos' HP500 bored and stroked to 548, ported GM cast iron heads, Nickerson solid roller cam, Holley EFI intake with 1000 CFM throttle body and FAST XFI computer. Dynoed with CMI E-tops. Blower is the older M-3 Procharger. Rtech supercooler. 1000 HP @ 6000 RPM with 10 psi in the box. I will post the dyno curve when Dave sends me a copy.

This engine is going into a 27 Fountain!

Some nice numbers. Do you know what compression ratio is? What drive is on back?

Here's the dyno curve; typical centrifugal shape. Compression is 8.25:1, boost 3.6 psi @ 3500, 10.3 psi @ 6000. The engine was built for 6500 RPM but the A1200 fuel pump used for the dyno test could not keep up so we stopped at 6000 RPM. In the boat 2 @ A1000 pumps will be used, with the second pump triggered by the FAST system at a certain boost level.

Nice results Tom, sound like this 27' Fountain will need an awesome drive package. I also calculate that the driver if a little inexpierenced at the new speeds may need some driving lessons from Tres!

Just a personall note
27' Fountain Stock 502 with old style Whipple charger, imco exaust, imco dual steering, spinelli 29 pitch 4 blade
Boat was fun and stable to about 80. 80 to 95 it walked like a mutha f***er. I would not recomend that you try this to often.

Just my 2 cents of experience here

Tom,what size blower pulleys and fuel injectors were you using? I am using a kenne bell voltage booster on my fuel pump,it turns the fuel pump voltage up to 16 volts at 5 psi boost which on most fuel pumps raises output by 20-30 percent and it can handle up to 40 amp loads.I am having no problem making 70 psi fuel pressure at wfo and 5900 rpm's,Smitty

I have a 96 27" with a ProCharged 502 MPI that has run 89 GPS that is as stable as they get, I have run a stock Hydro Q4 31rh and also have a stock Bravo 34rh. Did your boat have full hydraulic steering? Maybe the Spinelli was the cause?

Great info !

As Smitty showed, many electric fuel pumps can really 'step up to the plate' as voltages are increased.

I, too, would talk to an engineer (not sales person) at Aeromotive about doing the same. They typically have fuel pump dyno tests + graphs plotting volts vs psi vs volume.

While you are talking to them, you may want to ask about the two fuel pump set-up and see what they think, in your set-up, about installing the two pumps in series or parralel.

===========================

Very impressive power BTW . COngrats !!!! Hope the new owner fully respects what this power/boat combo may present.
