Default 496 Heat Exchanger End Caps

On a 496 heat exchanger can the rubber seals for the end caps be reused a second time? I am thinking of cleaning mine, but I want to have the seals before I do it if they are needed.

Yes they can be re-used. Just try to line up the lines in the rubber.

I have had mine apart 3 or 4 times and there are still the original seals. I do have a spare set of them in my boat just in case.

turnerrd ,
You are not going to loose any coolant, the caps are sea water side(or lake water). If your boat is in the water don't remove end caps unless you have a way to close incoming water.

Just don't let this guy GOODT (Joe Heller) work on your boat. He is a dirtbag and still owes me $1,000.00
