![Question](/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have been having problems with the internal flappers being blow out of the exhaust tips on my 525 EFI motors. Consequently, I have to pull the tips out and send the assembly back for repairs as they have a lifetime warranty. My question is what would be the best adhesive- sealant for these thru hull exhaust tips that would stand up to the heat, vibration, and some going under water but also make it fairly easy to remove the tips. The tips are 4" tube with about a 6 1/2 " mounting flange.

I used goop. It yellowed a tiny bit, but it worked great. The guys at CMI actually were the ones to suggest it.

Viper7,
Does your boat also have the external clamp on type flaps? Our 358 had both.
