outdrive issues ?? prop..no work..??
Ok, was running down Torch Lake this afternoon 3000RPM on plane and all of a sudden it felt like it went into neutral...?? you would have thought that the prop came off. Can not find any issues looking at the engine or drive. had to get towed back to the launch. Engine revs but ro reverse or forward ..
Boat is a 1986 23 powerplay SBC with a Alpha Drive.
Any Ideas??
Is outdrive shot..??
Shift cable??
Thanks,
Steve

When you pull the drive it'll either bind on you or you will see metal shavings. After the drive is pulled you can easily inspect the coupler.

The Hub is simply a removable black plastic insert inside your prop (Early 90's Props and up). If you have this system, simply remove and inspect.
