I've got some PIC time in T-28C's, and spent a few years as ground crew for a local T-28 owner.
I found some round engine sound files on the internet a few years ago. The best clip is four round-engined Reno ships firing up in the pits, 2 R-3350's and two R-4360's. I've also got a Martin 404 clip with the R-2800's starting and warming up. The gearboxes really come through on the clips.
I also found a really nice clip of a Super Connie, from cockpit preflight through engine start and takeoff, throttle back to cruise and then in for landing and shutdown. I made a copy of this clip for a friend in his seventies that served in EC-121 Connies and he became really emotional while listening to it. He calls me every time he listens to it. Which is quite often.
Turbines and Jet-A just ain't got no class.
Gimme pistons and props,
and lots of AvGas.

Just curious what # bearging did you wipe out? Any pictures you could post?
Stock forged cranks are pretty good pieces in my opionion and I also know of a numberof them running HP in your range with no problems to date. Like was said nothing last foreever. How many hours were on the motor?

Re: Most HP with stock gen 6 crank
Just pulled the main caps everything looks brand new, looks like ill be digging deeper. My problem started when my oil pressure started dropping to 40 psi during hard acceleration, as soon as I would back off the throttles it would pop back up to 70 psi. The pick up is verified at 3/8 from the bottom of the pan. I have Canton 9 quart pan with wind age trays. My other motor is set up exactly the same with no problem.
