Gimble bearing came out with drive. Why?

I took a old bearing apart and used the race/housing with out collar ring as a driver.Figured it would be a even push.
I going to clean out all the grease and take a look at the surface,A felt it with my finger and didn't feel anything weird.But it could be out some if the motor was moving and wallowed out the housing . I have some snap gages I see if its out of round at least.

Anytime the gimbal bearing is removed the crush sleeve must be replaced. If the gimbal bearing has been changed many times it will groove up the bore and make for a looser fit.
Usually I have ended up having a harder time removing the G-bearing on a bravo as opposed to an alpha.
They may be a tighter fit from the get go.
You could end up trying to stake the hole to try to make for a better fit.
You may have had some water in the transom assy too, it doesn't take much, and it can come from elsewhere not just the transom assy, maybe the drive or even bilgewater !
If you end up needing the transom plate , I have 'em. BBB
