Default ECU Reprograming

I am thinking of having my ECU reprogrammed on my 500EFI. I would like to have it leaned out on the bottom end and bump the REV limiter up a bit. I have a 99 Checkmate ZT 280, I am spinning a worked non lab 24 bravo 1 at 5250 rpm at any air temp. Depending on conditions I am running 69-71 GPS. What are the gains I can expect from it besides eliminating the transom soot? Who does everyone recommend to do this? How much does it cost?

To be honest I would really like to pick up a couple mph on top so I run 70 consitently all day long. I would like to be able to run a 26 lab B1 at the same rpm. Maybe I am asking too much but I though I would ask.

Thanks,

MM

We can program your ECU also. The correct way to do it is weld a 0/2 bung in your exhaust and I will ride in the boat and dial it in. Ohther wise I can put a known cal we do and you could try that first. Tyler

Tyler is the best when it comes to programming in the boat. There have been several memeber that had problems sending ECUs back and forth trying to get issues resolved. The only way is to do it in the boat with an O2 meter - Period!

Tyler,

It was great talking to you today. You will be hearing from me in the spring to get this ECU sorted out.

Thanks for your time,

Andy

Re: ECU Reprograming

Where can you weld an o/2 bung in a set of CMI'S.Does it have to be close to the exhaust port,or can it be in the tail pipe? Might be able to put it in the tail pipe fairly easily?
