I'm needing to look at options on my rebuilds. HP500's with slight head & cam work. Looking for a reputable builder with a dyno. My motors are being "fixed" by the guy who broke them in the beginning. (Head & engine shop here in Greensboro) Now he's fixing them at no $$$ cost, but it has already costed me $1000 to pull the motors again. I need an expert to take over. I would like my motors gone thru top to bottom. Assuring me they have been put together correctly. Replacing any parts necessary and making sure they run right. Would like them tested on a dyno for performance as well as leaks & issues. Don't want to be cleaning up oil all summer long again. Would really like to turn the keys and go come spring. Any suggestions?

Blue by You,
There are many outstanding engine builders on the board that are well qualified, however if your requirements are specific to your area I would highly recommend Mark Rinda @ MER Performance Engines in Little River, SC. He is very experienced in marine performance and stands behind his work. As with all quality engine builders, it may not be cheap, but it's cheaper than doing it twice.
You can reach Mark @ 1-843-399-8785

Other than the hassle of crating & shipping, and not being able to see the actual dyno run, don't hesitate to contract the services of a reputable builder far from your geographic region.
My race car engines used to go air freight to/from California. Used to make me shiver how much $$$ I spent with a guy I never met in person and only spoke to on the phone twice a year. Nothing but podium finishes so it's all worth it.
I'm new around here, but it seems like there's enough builders on OSO that can do everything you want. Nothing like a road trip/day off work to go see the dyno runs![Big Grin](/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks,
Michael

Although mine are being built locally they are going to Lousiana to be dyno/tuned. Shipping is the small stuff if the builder is truely reputable.
