Most of the drive failures were related to a few (mostly small) manufacturers who insisted on installation heights above what Volvo allowed. When the props are run as surface-piercing, nasty harmonics get set up in the lower unit. Drives mounted at the proper depth have been reliable.

I still have them and I hope to get one of them installed this winter. I can't wait to see the performance.
