Non XR bravo's change the ratio by the
different gears in the upper.
XR's are changed by different gears in the lower.
I've heard of quite a few people having success
going to a 1.5:1.

I did that last year. Went from 1.36 to a 1.50. Lost about 2 miles per hour but better response and get there quicker. Also planes better when loaded.

On a 36 Outlaw I lost 2-3 mph going to a 1:50 from a 1:36.
All the experts told me to go to the 1:50 by I am regretting it sometimes. I felt no better holeshot or acceleration with the 1:50
