Default Best bilge pump & switch??

Well, they are not all the same, what is the best/most affordable pump & switch.
Reliability is the number one factor!

i like the Lovett pumps. built in float switch and they come 1100 or 1500 g.p.h i think.

Bo's right. Lovetts are great. They're even rebuildable with all parts easily available.

The Lovett's are great pumps but sometimes they are hard to fit in deep V's without a mounting pad. They are belt driven and I don't know how long the belts last either. The fish guys that I have talked to swear by these pumps though. Let us know how your project goes and what your experiences were.

If you choose not to use the Lovett pump (which is a really good product) Stay away from the solid state float switches. I have numerous customers that have had these switches fail and will almost always stay on - or partially on. One is mounted in a cat hull - underneath the engine of all places. The rule old school float switches have always worked for us.
