Comp cams blower cam
I'm in the process of rebuilding my 525SC and I'm considering staying with hyd flat tappet cam.
Would comp cams CB 280AH-14 be a better choise than the stock Crane?
Below are the specs:
Duration .050 232 in/237ex
LS 114
Gross lift .547 in/ex
Valve timing .006 30/70 in 82/26 ex .050 timing not listed.
Thanks

I doubt you would see any improvement with it. The specs you posted are pretty close to the stock cam. I gained about 100rpms going to a Crane 731 roller in my 525sc. It also has better midrange.

I will bump up the compression a bit with .060 SRP flat top pistons, cleaning up the stock heads and probably do a hyd roller cam.
