MPI lower intake manifold differences
Besides the #7 injector hole being smaller on older 454/502 Magnum MPI lower intake manifolds, are there any other differences to be aware of during the years they were available?

Just to clarify, the smaller hole is in the fuel rail where it feeds the injector, not the actual manifold (just in case you or some one else reading this doesn't fully understand it). This was on the mefi 1 and 2 motors,Smitty

Okay, I did not realize that it was the fuel rail that had to be modified. I believe there are two part numbers for the lower manifold, one for the VST and one for Cool Fuel. Does anybody know if they are identical other than part numbers?

Re: MPI lower intake manifold differences
I can attest to the problem with the #7 injector feed on the MEFI 1 fuel rails. When I took mine apart for modifications, the hole was much smaller than the other injector feeds. I CAREFULLY enlarged it with a dremmell tool before installing my modifications. Props to this board!!! If I had not learned about that defect here, I am sure I would have fried my #7 piston after installing my big cam, heads etc...
