Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner... I personally wouldn't wand dry again. I love loud, but the dry is really an unpleasant loud. My buddy GL with his wet 900's is very loud but low pitch and perfect. And perhaps it's just my application because I have no other experience, but my dry had a very unique high pitch loud that was tough on the ears.

Imagine a prostock drag car on an oval track at full noise. Thats about how you will sound except you have two engines so now imagine two Prostock drag cars on an oval track with mum and dad having a picnic with the kids in the middle of the oval on a sunday afternoon. To me is great. Rock on. Jas

I am thinking of running dry pipes, but I have some concerns. How hot do the pipes and headers get when you run them dry? Are there any fire issues? Does it create more heat in the engine compartment? Will the headers and pipes discolor from the added heat? My Wet CMI’s are 13 years old and look like new. I can place my hand on my pipes while the motor is running and not get burned. What are the advantages of running dry pipes, besides the sweet sound? Thanks, Johnny
