Installing exh.manifold&Risers backwards
Hello,im in the process of mounting a 496 in my deep V fishing boat in disguise. What do you think of this,i have:
Crusader FWC setup
VolVo SP(same as duoprop with one prop)
3'' thru hull exh(should i go to 4''??)
I think i want to use the crusader manifolds ,they have a nice smooth transition to the riser and it dumps the water in farther downstream in the exhaust.Could i mount these on backwards so i can get some space to mount mufflers under the engine or on the sides of the engine also, would it be ok if the exhaust has a slight uphill climb to the stern.Like most others building a 496 im wondering about camshaft selection-flat tappet hydraulic,i am installing a camshaft oiler/shower in the valley to eleminate the problem the BB has of killing new cams.-thanks,Don
