Default Removing Factory Controls?

I am trying to get the handle off of my Quicksikver control. I was told to look for an allen screw, but have not had any luck. Some info would be greatly appreciated.

Might have a cap or plug over it.

Mine has an allen set screw on the bottom that faces the gunnel, it's hard to see.

(Merc 3000 classic) I believe the allen screw is visible when you move the throttle fwd. the slot will line up with the screw. It is a friction adjustment.
To remove the shifter/throttle lever, you must pull out the neutral button then a nut will be visible to remove the handle

And to pull out that plastic button, you must push it in and have the shifter moved forward in the "throttle only" position. Otherwise you will break it trying to remove it.

I found the screw. Someone must have had problems with it backing off, they filled the hole with black silicone. Thanks for all the info. Has any one used the Teleflex controls? I want to upgrade while the interior is out.
