Default Help! Mercruiser throttle/shift control

My old Mercruiser control was looking a bit ragged and jammed up on me once so I picked up a newer model 3000 cheap. I think I got screwed on that deal. Everything seemed to bolt up ok but when I push in the button for " throttle only " the out drive will still shift.
After doing some research I found that there was a recall on that control, but there were no details on the replacement housing P/N.

Is there a reliable Mercruiser updated part or should I be looking elsewhere? I have been considering a Teleflex CH1700-211010.
The Boat is a 21' Scarab with a SB Chevy and a Bravo drive.
Thanks,
Ned
