Not bad. I did both of mine a couple yrs ago. I had my drives off, so access to the hose behind the bell housing is easier. It's removed from inside the boat, not outside.
Have to manuver the bell housing around so you have best access to the water supply hose. It fits in a channel, the speedo hose is behind that water hose. I was able to pull the water hose out of the channel then pull the speedo hose out of it's location until it is hanging straight out loose. From inside the engine compartment, disconnect the speedo hose at the barbed fitting at the transom assembly. This under a ledge on the housing on the right side as you are facing it. Using a deep well socket unscrew that fitting. The hose outside will need to turn with the fitting as you unscrew it. Once loose, remove the barbed fitting and outer hose from inside the boat.
To reinstall, you feed the hose thru the threaded hole from inside pushing it out. Gotta make sure the hose can turn freely while you reinstall the barbed fitting.
It's really not a bad job once you look at it long enough.
