Getting a whipple EFI- now how to plump my closed loop cooling?
I have a full closed loop system seakamp system. 5x24 heat exchanger under the engine- huge thermostat housing contraption bolted to the intake which allows the lower exhaust manifolds full 1" flow under the thermostat. With the whipple, I'll have to re-plumb the system. I'm thinking about having the exhaust go full raw water since they are hard anodized dana marine exhaust. then I only need to worry about the closed loop for the engine itself. I can get an external expansion tank with radiator cap- that would probably be the easiest. Will that work? Anyone know of a good source for a stainless expansion tank?
Here's a pic of what I have right now and the whipple I'm getting.
