Default Camshaft

Hi i am new member from Sweden so sorry fore my english,

I have a mercruiser 7,4 mpi -98 and i am going replace my camshaft i have a cam from a 454 mag mpi -98 the mercruiser number are #431-850478 but i do not now if this is a roller cam will it work with my roller lifters? Do annyone have the specs fore this cam?

If you change the cam, you will also have to change the ECM and possibly parts of the fuel injection.

Allright i will lockin to that.
But also need the specs?
And shall the timing be the same?

Griff is right----also, you might try getting ahold of RMbuilder/Bob Madara of Marine Kinetics in New York. He does this kind of stuff for boaters all the time, is very knowledgable and can probably tell you the cam you're asking about as well as help you with the pro's & con's about your project, etc. His phone number is (585) 654-8583
