I thought I would share with you my Gimbal Ring repair using Ron Benders method. http://www.jrmarine.com/
Ron also supplied the three wrenches needed.
The total project from start to finish took me 6 hours.

To make the removal easier I drilled a 3/8 hole in the middle and took a small pry bar to start the removal process.
The directions say use a die grinder. I could not use my straight grinder so out to buy and Small air Angle Grinder.

Project completed.
NOTICE – if you buy parts remember to install them!
I bought a stainless U-bolt from Ron and forgot to put it in. I almost took it back apart but I had the clearance set by the time I noticed.
Overall a very good product and Ron was great to work with. I highly recommend using this product.

I used his kit too and I'm a believer!
The bellhousing and all the bellows & cable was intimidating but I had a member from here stop by my shop to give we a hand, THANKS JIM (32 caliber)!
