Trim Tabs?
Want to replace my boat leveler metal plate 12"x12" tabs to K-plane style tabs. Not sure what length to go with. The boat is a 29' Enticer PQ. Has some good chine walk at 65-68 mph would like to try and stabilize that. Would bigger tabs help? What size if so and what brand? Longer the better or not ??

You don't need anything longer than a 280 K-plane. Long tabs on short LOA boats can be dangerous. A hint of tab should help with the chine walk on the big end.

If Merc's K-planes are too pricey for your budget, Dana makes some nice aftermarket tabs.

So in boats under 30' is the danger of the longer tabs that they could cause the boat to trip and stuff?
I always thought the longer tabs were better in the aspect that they increase the length of the bottom, but their downside was that they could sometimes drag and scrub speed.
