Default exhaust steam

Took the boat out for the first time yesterday. I have excessive steam coming from the starboard exhaust. The temp never got over 175 and I just replaced the impeller and housing any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks.

Was your old impeller all in one piece? If it wasn't you may have some debris down stream causing a clog.

Pull the plugs on starboard side.Do they look steam cleaned?
If they do pull the coil wire and crank engine to see if any moisture comes out the cylinders.

I've experienced that before especially early in the season when the water temperature is cold, and it's always more pronounced on the starboard side! Not to worry, summers coming! Steve

The water is cold yes but motors are exspensive at leaqst check for reversion as the other guys stated.....Our summers are too short for engine pulling, believe me i pulled mine 5 times last year.....3 of the times were due to reversion resons....

Cold water would not make more steam.Though cold air could make it appear there is more steam as the water vapor condenses faster.
