I spoke to Mark at Precision Marine today. He told me they do not remove retard timing under boost. Mark also mentioned running a projected tip plug( bought and installed stock gap .040) Thank you Mark, idle and mid are better than before. I also got a list of RPMS that can be mapped. took the readings will send to PM to compare my setup vs real world.
I have replaced cap rotor and plugs, not the coil or wires stock coil mallory 8mm wires. While out today I did notice that @ 3200 RPM the AFR would shoot to 9.5. AS far as air goes, I removed the entire engine hatch, if thats not enough air I'm in more trouble, no real change, another dead end. I will see if I can get my hands on a scan tool Tuesday per Mark @ PM to see if I have something else failing. I went up in fuel press under boost to verify I was not nocking and the ECM was retarding timing making the motor real rich. The motor sounded more heathy but 3200RPM AFR still 9.5. from about 12.5 at 3000 RPM. I ran out of time to go the other was with pressure. Will continue Tuesday with scan tool and fuel adjustment more lean and see what happens. Ever feel like this is what your boat is winning?

Cam specs Howards cam .577 / 280 intake .579 / 292 exhaust with 112* lobe sep.

Can I run without the procharger (belt off) and remove the tube after the procharger before the intercooler or is that a bad idea?

I have done it several times, won't hurt a thing.... (just don't let a misc, grocery bag get loose in the engine compartment.... it MIGHT end up in the innercooler)

Nothing he has a mefi1 it has to use a one bar map. If it was a 3 or up it would read boost from a 2 bar map. Mefi 2 can do it but not very well.

Like CAL MAN stated, the ECM does not know. I am using a CARTECH FMU to regulate fuel pressure under boost.

Doesn't sound good to me. How does it compensate for load, 4 passengers and a full tank vrs 1 person almost empty.

I have considered going to a Mefi3, but at this point I wish to make it run as good as it can as is. Rain for the next few days we will see what transpires when the weather breaks.

I would be looking at the aftermarket. At least that way you would have total control of the tuning.

Thanks that's a good idea. I guess total control of tuning would be great, I can burn down a motor with the best of them.
