Default Throttle tension adjustment

Can the tension be adjusted on the Mercury throttles. They are on a 2004 Fountain with 500s. The throttles drift back as you ride along. Thanks in advance for your help.

If they are the Keikafer ones you can add stiffer springs and sometimes add springs and balls to help with that. There should be 2 balls and springs in them now with a small strip of teflon.

Shouldn't they have an adjustment with an allen key?

I know the Gaffrig and Livorsi and some others use an allen key. Most of the Keikafers use springs and balls.

Beings it's a 2004 model, I'd guess they are Gaffrigs.
