Default Oil type and level for fuel pump housing

I have HP500 motors with the belt drive fuel pump what type of oil should be in the housing and how much?

I saw there is a side plug in it and am thinking you just fill to that level.

yep...there should be two plugs...one to fill(top) and one to drain(bottom)
fill w/90w oil and good to go

Mine only had one plug as well. I could take out most of the bolts on the seapump bracket and tilt it enough to get out 95%of the lube. I've always used Merc Hi perf gear lube aka drive lube.
