No Findy the Correct Carb Size...I think?

BUMP - I'm still looking for a Holley 800 / HP 500 carb....

So I finally get around to calling Barry Grant for a carb recommendation. Based upon my numbers, they say an 800.

So tonight I'm gearing up to find a Marine Demon 800 and guess what - no findy cuz they only have 750 Speed/Mighty Demons, an 825 Mighty Demon, or 850 Speed/Mighty Demons.

Soooo....should I find an HP 500, 800 cfm marine carb? Or is there a better fix?

Open to all suggestions and lemme know if you have one laying around.

Thanks in advance

BTW, my numbers:

496 stroker
Gen IV Block
GM Alum Heads,118 cc Chambers, 300cc Intake Runner, 110cc Exhaust Runner, 2.25" Intake, 1.88" Exhaust
Comp Pro Magnum Roller Rockers
Cam is hydraulic 292 advertised duration, or [email protected]", .544" lift, 112 degree lobe centers/Hyd lifters
Flat top pistons/9.1 Comp
Dart intake
Thunderbolt IV Dist/Crane HI-6 Box
Holley Mech Fuel Pump/Reg
Lightning Headers

I have a 496 stroker also. Larger cam, compression is 9.5 and I have tried both Barry Grant 750DP and 850DP. I had to tweek the 850 a little because it was to large and saw no change at all. I had to jet up the 750 and that worked great.
If you look on EBAY there is a guy Rich (something) that sells thousands of these carbs. I wish I would have tried the 800 or 825 now, maybe next year when I feel the need to blow more money

Here is the link to his store.

You can order one of those carburetors through CP Performance, Triad Marine, or Dean Gellner.

Buy the Mighty Demon 850 Annular Marine. Jegs has them for like $575.00. The annular boosters makes the carb as response (or better) than a regular 750 downleg booster carb and you have enough flow to feed a bigger motor if you upgrade. I used to run one on my 509 (and later on my 540) and it made good power and it was responsive down low as well. Best of both worlds, I say...
