total timing on hp 500 and exhaust temps
what is the total timing on 2000 hp 500 carb motors and at what rpm, also anyone using exhaust temp guages what is the normal to hard running temps range, mine run around 1200 on three sides and one side of the one motor is only 1000 ??

Total advance is 34* at about 3000rpms. Should be about 14* at idle.
1000* is pretty cool. The 1200* is pretty good. 1400* is a danger spot and time to back off.
