Default Oil Filter Change

Hi Guys,

Did my first Oil change by myself today. I have HP 525's in my boat. Everything went fine except removing the old oil filters. I bent 2 filter wrenches getting them off. I was afraid I was going to break the mounting bracket. DO they get that tight from heat, etc. Or did my mechanic put them on too tight last time.

Thanks

Mark

Put USED motor oil on the O ring and hand tighten plus a 1/4 turn. He probably used new oil which acts like glue.
