Default 377 6.2L Timing procedure MPI

Does anyone have the Service manual procedure for setting the timing on a 6.2L 377??? My scanner is here - but a buddy of mine can't get his DDT to come up with Service Mode???

Thanks

Is it a MEFI 3 or ECM555? On a MEFI 3 you would jump terminals "A" and "B" on the Data Link Connector to put it in service mode. On a ECM 555 you don't/can't set the timing. It's totally computer controlled. Moving the distributor would just misalign the cap and rotor (rotor phasing).
