Anyone have any idea why my speedo worked for the first couple of hours I was out yesterday then just quit ? It is a Faria , did not hit anything and the hole it reads from in the outdrive seems to be clear and the hose seems to be plugged in good in the outdrive ? Where do I look next ?

Simple.... Unhook the hose at the speedo. Can you blow air thru the tube and out drive?
Yes..... bad speedo
No......blockage (double check the pickup hole)

Well the hose was not off at the gauge. After some searching ended up being the hose was off on the brass barbed fitting in the enging compartment where the hose comes through from the outdrive. Had quite a bit of water in my boat, never knew it before now, but you can get a sh** load of water pretty quick if you have a speedo hose off!! Thanks for the help US1 Fountain...
