A leaking weld is probably not your problem but FYI the best way to make sure is to pressure test the risers. I did it with duct tape, a tire valve, a tire pump and the lake. A few psi and it bubbled like mad at the leak. The senario was that a TIG welder is designed to penetrate the work piece if the tip is perpendicular to the weld surface. The hole of the riser which causes the torch to be at an angle to the weld surface with the worst angle at the deepest point of the interior bung weld. The first weld shop then ground the weld smooth. It looked good but in effect opened the seam between the bung and the riser wall on both risers at the same exact (deepest)point. The repair was via a custom TIG torch that reduced the angle of attack to the weld surface for interior space welding and the weld was not ground smooth. Good luck
The spikes in my O2 data were everywhere once they started, but they started while I was at 3500rpm, and the sensor died before I brought it off plane. I recorded all the data (have since erased it) and I seem to recall there being absolutely no patern in the spikes. Once they started they continued intermitantly until the sensor died. I ran a series of rpm steps up to 4500rpm, and the data looked the same everywhere.
I had a expert tig guy put the 02 boss in, and his work looked perfect, but it's certainly possible there's a small leak on the inside that didn't develop until after it was run for a while. I'm putting a new sensor in this weekend. We'll see how long it lasts.

Well I ran some tests and the A/F spikes that I recorded were do to ignition noise interference. Locating the o2 sensor wire in close proximity to the spark plugs wires will generate a load of A/F spike data and moving it away will diminish the spikes to zero.
