Thanks Tyler Crockett & BBlades
I wanted to publicly thank Tyler and Brett for helping me break into the 90's which I did this past weekend with an outside temperature of 101 degrees and 450lbs of fuel. It's not a high dollar/flashy boat, but it's paid for and with a kid in college it has to work for now.
Tyler set me up with all the advice and parts over the last few years and everything has always performed as he said it would. Brett did the labbing of the props and after a recent adjustment I finally got the MPH I was looking for.
I realize that 91MPH might not seem too fast for most of you out there, but this is a heavy old boat and powered only by 454 Mags. I was running 88-89 for the last year, but could never break 90, but the prop work did the trick.
1989 Baja 280 Sport, complete Crockett upgrade kits with TBS 250's and 5lbs/boost. Have a nice day!

That is haulin in a 280. A friend of mine has one up here in Omaha and just put new mills in this year that are about 650hp N/A. I think he has a top speed in the same range as yours.

Mirage + 27" @ 5750RPM. The props checked out to be actually 28" before labbing and Brett worked them out a bit more to be 29.5". The old baja's seem to work best with a 3 blade, probably the low x dimension. The best thing about reaching 90 is I can finally stop trying. The worst thing is the wife yelling even louder to slow down.
