I don't think there really is one. Just some specific preventive maintanence that needs to be done. People have said the supercharger needs to be gone through every 300 hrs. Mine never was, but I changed the lube every 25-30hrs. The cam is not real big, so valve train issues are about the same a black engine. My 525sc also used half the oil that my now 250hr 502mpi's use.
Lots of people have had problems with the factory Gil exhaust manifolds cracking.

You could also go with a Merc 420, or 671. Many times you can find good deals on 420's and have them freshened at The Blower Shop. That will get you an extra 100hp, EASY.

There is a guy here on Champlain that has trip 525sc's in a fountain that is getting 650hp. 9lbs of boost,no intercoolers!!
