Default Flywheel for 502/454 the same?

Can anyone tell me if the flywheel from a 454 will work on a 502? Didn't know if the 502 was ext. balanced?

Yes as long as the 454 is a one piece rear main seal like the 502, should work.

Not if the 454 had cast internals and the 502 has forged internals. Better check your part numbers

You may be right, I have never weighed one, but according to Dennis Moores book, they are weighted different. Also Bam marine shows different part numbers for a gen VI 7.4 MPI (with cast internals) vs 454 Mag (with forged internals)
