The company that installed mine got close to, or more than 500 hours out of his. He had twin Whipple 500efi's in a 32 Sunsation. They are not far from you, just over on grand Island NY . I put mine on with a little over 300 hours. I will pull the engine to rebuild it once I get close to 500 hours.
Change the head gaskets when you do it too.
Alot of the lift of the engine will be in how you run too, of course.

Yah, Rob at HTG raceing. Before he pulled the engines out, he threw a small pulley on the blowers and drop the boat in one last time for a speed run. I forget what number he got, but when he pulled the engines apart, one piston had a piece missing.
Anyways, give Rob a call, he has installed many.

Were head gaskets upgraded? Did the owner change the valve springs yet?
