Default When to rebuild 525SC motor ???????

Bottom end has 500 hours. Oid changed (MOb ! Syn) every 30 hours. When shouold it be rebuilt? Most time spent mid range.

Just buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should clarify that the top end was rebuilt at 350hrs. I would expect it to be fine for at least another couple hundred or more hours. Probably check the valve spring pressures in another 100hrs.

I would perform a compression and leak down test. This will tell you how bad of shape the ring seal is.

What a waste of Mob1. You are draining good oil out at 30 hours. Especially if you avoid extended WOT.

Maybe, but better safe than sorry. It's less than $50 for the oil and filter and cheap insurance. Also it makes sense with a average season of 60hrs on the engine. Change it for the winter layup and once half way through the season.
