Got the manifold, carb, distributer back on. Will get exhaust back on today and see if she runs!!!!! Painted manifold and valve covers since I had them off.

isnt there a point in tie when the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time and creates a huge amount of vacume..I once read about a similar problem.. would happen all the time but once a day..

It's called reversion and that shouldn't be a problem if you use a cam ground for a marine application. A street cam can kill a motor in a boat unless you have full dry exhaust.

It's running. Went out yesterday afternoon for acouple of hours. Getting rid of the engine hatch changed the whole attitude of the boat. Really lightened the ass end. Picked up about 7 mph!!!!!
