Where's the drain plug?

Anybody know where the drain plug is on a 3cyl. 4stroke 40hp. EFi outboard is? I think it's on the upper gear housing on the port side but Im not real sure. The plug I think it is looks like it belongs on bulldoser. Oh it is a mercury. Thanks for any help, I don't know much about egg beaters. Brian

If it's on the top or towardthe top, then it's a vent plug.
Look behind the prop or on the sideof the bullit. To look behind the prop, remove the prop. it will be below the prop shaft.

yeah it is in the driveshaft housing and it is large if you tilt it up and turn it to one side it makes less of a mess...check you may be able to pump it out just like a strendrive...
