Well after having a lengthy but informative conversation with Mark @ Precision today it looks like we will rebuild the 500's and get them up to about 600hp. It's not going to be cheap by any means but I know Mark is the best anywhere near here at what he does so I know it will be right. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I will let you know when things get rolling.

Chuck

Great place to bring your motors Chuck! We just had our motors pulled by them.

Captainchuck, like you I bought my 38' Scarab last year except with no power. It is a pain to set it all up (I am still working out details 6 months later) but I know that the motors are fresh and (hopefully) trouble free. I bought my '99 Ford dually PSD 4x4 tow vehicle the same way from a friend. Really cheap (12k) with a bad trans. I had my tranny guy rebuild with billet torque converter and updated parts from the ground up . Now I tow with confidence. It would be nice to have a brand new '43 eagle w/700 sci's and NXT drives, and a new F450 6.4 PSD 4x4 but I had a $100k to play with (some financed) ,not $600k. Mike
