Best t-stat gasket sealant?
just wondering if people using sealant along with a paper t-stat gasket for a closed loop cooling system. and if so, what seems to work best for you? hope you all are having a great new year. thanks for any input

I use a reusable gasket. Can't remember what brand but its black plastic with o rings on each side. Never had a leak. I use this on a raw water system so not sure if that helps.

You don't need much. Mercury's Perfect Seal or just plain grease will both work. I like grease as it makes it easy to remove and re-use the gasket.

Just plain grease on a paper gasket, hmmm i will have to give that a shot., thanks by u boy for the image, i think i'll start looking for those when the season comes around again. have a good weekend
