You're almost certainly going to have to do some modification to get a fuel line to work with any other carb.
If that's a deal breaker, have your Q jet rebuilt and have someone who knows what they're doing adjust it correctly on your engine.

If you want to keep the old Quadrajet, these guys do a great job rebuilding them. I've used them many times over the years.
