EFI is great until something goes wrong, then it's a nightmare. You may have more frequent problems with a carb setup but they usually can be fixed in seconds, not weeks.

87Velocity -----------
you can email me at [email protected] when you get the info.
Dominator 1050 and Dart open plenium for the 1050. I also have other intakes and carbs. I am sure I have about any combination. I will know better after you give me the engine serial number.

I too have a 87 Velocity 23, 454 with Alpha SS. I put a crate motor 454-HO in it, with a Edlebrok 750 and EMI Thunder exhaust.
I couple of notes- I do not like the Edlebrok carb- it has never run as well as the old 330 hp 454 with the Quadrajet from a drivability point of view. I have moved the carbs back and forth, and the QJ 795 seems to make more power and get better fuel economy, even though I have been high and low with jets and rods on the Edlebrok.
The EMI thunder works well and fits fine in the engine compartment- I kept the mufflers too. make sure you get the hard anodized EMI as it will help it last longer. And make sure your water pumps are in good shape or the powder coat might start to bubble on the elbows !!
You should be able to resell the MPI stuff to get some money back. personally, I would try to get the MPI fixed

dogturd21....Thanks for the input. What kind of speeds are you seeing with that setup? I have aquired a intake manifold off of a Marine Power preimum 454 with a QJet carb and TB IV dist. One last try with the MPI, if not, its on with the carb.
