Donzi 22zx questions
I tried searching for hours now, and can not find the answers.
2000 Donzi 22zx, steped hull, and at least a 454MPI Mag
what is the top speed on this boat? Guy told me 75, but his add said 65. and have found everything from 62-75 stock. someone please give answer to different combo's.
include stepped hull or not, motor and prop if you know it.
Thanks

Yes this is what i am finding but all the ones that talk about speed either have regular hull with the old 454, or a step and a smaller motor. I want it to be scary. I want to have to learn to drive it. ha Thanks for imput. amybe someone will know. I found out it is a 454 MPI MAG motor, bravo one, and a stepped hull. BONE STOCK,

Try Donzi.net. Some of the guys there have run about every possible configuration for that boat from a 350mag to a Procharged 454mag. I think that someone on that site had one with a 502Mag. I don't remember their numbers.
I know that the 22ZX step hull with a 454 MPI (non mag) runs 60 mph. I also know that it does not take much power to wake up that hull. I drove one and thought it had a nice ride. Yes, it will spin out like any step hull.
I know of one with a Procharged 350 mag that runs high 70's and Procharged 454 that runs in the 80's.
Hope that this helps

That is a great platform to use as a starter. I would probably use that 454 MPI as a base to build a hot sleeper. With some Aluminum heads, bigger cam, cleaner exhaust you could see mid 80's. I think that above that it starts to get out of hand.
Or you could just Procharge it and hang on.
Either way, there will be no problem getting it to go fast for not much money!
I would guess that in stock for it will do mid 60's
