It's always puzzled me a bit when everyone says they only work above 90.
I had a little 16' sport boat with a merc200. I Didn't have gps back then, but it would run -say- mid-upper 70's. I put a nosecone on and noticed more speed. may have only been 2-3mph but I noticed it.
Granted this boat didn't weigh much, but it was a noticeable difference in the upper70's low 80's range.
Has anyone tried on a single 25-29' V in the 78-82mph range?
