cam specs for 350 mag?
Can anyone supply me with the cam specs on a 350 mag? A co-worker is tinkering with his and would like to know what the stock grind is that Mercruiser uses.

What year motor?
Carb or MPI?
Roller or flat lifter?
Need to know this before we can answer.
If he can look up the Mercruiser cam part number would be helpful or give me the engine serial number I can do it for him.

I'll bet it's the same as mine, 1988 and 270 hp.
If so the specs are:
Merc P/N 431-5943
GM P/N 340284
Flat lifter (non-roller)
Duration at .050 - 200 intake
212 exhaust
Lift at valve - .400 intake
.410 exhaust
Lobe centerline - intake 108 deg ATDC
exhaust 112 deg BTDC
Lobe seperation angle - 110 deg
Information obtained from:
Small-Block Chevy Marine Performance
