Default 496 mag no oil pressure

just install a 2006 496 mag with 70hrs ,started it up,but no oil pressure,now what,it shoud not take more than 10-20 sec for pressure right,is this somthing comman?help

I would check it with a second mechanical gauge. Could be a bad , or switched connection. Be sure all oil lines are routed correctly.

pulled the filter its dry,the engine had all oil removed for shipping,does it need to be primed?

it does. especially now.
more than likely if you didnt run it for maore than 10 or 15 seconds you should be fine.

tha thing should have been a clattering with no oil pressure , to prime i believe you pull the distrubutor and use a tool to spin the drive of the oil pump with a drill ?

problem solved,removed oil filter,took small piece of rubber hose,and sucked on the filter inlet for 1 min,started her up,there oil pressure,thanks
