Default running emgine on test stand

I want to run my engein on a test stant. Not a dyno but a test stand. I am goign to basically biuld the same setup as on my boat wuith engine mounts and such on 8x8s. How will i hook up my engine and control it? all of teh eletricla stuff is on the boat.

In addition will the boost guage show if the blower is making boost if the engine isn't under load?

Witha little blower and a small pulley will it make boost at low rpms? Or will it onlymake it at mid to high rpms?

one 12 battery one pair jumper cables one hot wire to pos on coil one one hot jumper to starter one jumper to grd. it will run . have big party I would also like to come along with about 600 friends we can fix a pole-shaft to the end of crank and each of us hold on and apply some pressurer on the shaft-pole to try and make a little load so we can rev. it up.or not .note the shaft - pole must be vertical to crank or we will make one hell of a mess with your new motor.just messing with.you but it will run on just 12 volts applyed to coil if not elect. injection.

I've done the same thing and am about to do it again. The only additional advise I can, that I didn't already give you before, is to make sure you have good water sealing in your exhaust. Last time I did this I tried to skimp with used gaskets and it nearly destroyed the engine. Dumb as hell, but I got lucky. I was skimping because I had to disassemble right after firing it up and getting to temp, to retorque the aluminum heads.

You will never register boost unless the engine is under load. Don't exactly understand why, but oh well
